Advance Afrika in conjunction with Caritas Switzerland have built a day care centre at Gulu Government prison, this facility was officially openned on 10 October,2017.

The function was graced by the Caritas Switzerland director Hugo Fasel and the Director of Prisons Correctional Services Samuel Akena who was accompanied by the Commissioner of Prison for Rehabilitation and Social reintegration Elizabeth Nanfuka.

The Director Advance Afrika, Ronald Rwankangi noted that the facility with a capacity of 50 children will be for the female inmates as well as staff children.
