HIV ART CLINIC OPENED AT U.G. PRISON MUBUKU.

The Centre for Disease Control (CDC) Uganda country Director, Dr. Lisa Nelson on Monday 9th December,2019 opened the new HIV ART clinic at U.G Prison Mubuku which has been established with support of the CDC.

Mubuku is accredited as one of the 30 ART centres. During the occasion, the CDC country Director pledged continued support and funding from CDC for the next five years starting October, 2020.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE POSTS OF GRANT OFFICER, BIO-STATISTICIAN, PREVENTION SPECIALIST AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Uganda Prisons Service has received support from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to provide comprehensive HIV/AIDS, STI and TB services to prisoners and its staff. The project that spans the period 1st April, 2015 to 31st March, 2020 is being implemented by the Uganda Prisons Health Services Department.

Under Minute No. 60 of 2019 of the 25th Prisons Council Meeting, sitting in Kampala on Thursday 3rd October 2019, approved promotions of Junior Officers to various ranks as attached.

The Officers in Charge of stations, District Prisons Commanders and Regional Prisons Commanders should ensure that the promoted officers access the appropriate pips, badges and chevrons.

Every station, District and Region will then arrange for piping and Chevron ing ceremony.
