The Uganda Prisons Service sent 10 senior officers to the Galilee International Management Institute in Israel for s customized Course on Prisons / Corrections management and ICT from the 26^th January to 6^th February 2023.

The course was aimed at equipping officers with ways of handling the modern threats and challenges faced in management of prisons / corrections’ facilities.

The Course identified Current prisons / corrections challenges, use of Technology in managing prisons, Emergency management in prisons settings, Terrorism the Global threat, Experience sharing with the Deputy Commissioner of the Israel Prisons Service, General Moni Bitan and Zalmon Prison Commander, Brigadier General Yuval Erlich during the prisons tours of Zalmon and Damon prisons, Specialized units, Training Tactics workshops and visits to Security Technology Companies.
