The European Union Ambassador to Uganda H.E Kristian Schmidt on the 7^th October visited Luzira Women and Upper Maximum Prisons on a tour of the deathrow inmates and facilities at Luzira.

He was accompanied by the deputy Head of Mission of the French Embassy, Mr Lionel Vignacq and officials of the Foundation for Human Rights Initiatives, he had gone to listen to views of death row inmates ahead of the commemoration of the World Day Against Death Penalty. This day is marked on October 10.
