Following the advertisement that ran in the media in August 2020 and interviews which were conducted at the Prisons Regional Headquarters on 8th February, 2021 to 12th Fbruary, 2021, the following candidates have been selected to join the Uganda Prisons Service as Recruit Warders / Wardresses.
The Commissioner General of Prisons, Can. Dr. Johnson Byabashaija this morning launched the COVID-19 vaccination exercise in the Prisons Service in an event held at the Prisons Headquarters, Kampala.
Following the interviews for the recruitment of Warders and Wardresses into the Uganda Prisons Service conducted from 8th to 12th February, 2021 at the Regional Centres, the candidates (list attached) are invited for the medical examination due to take place on Thursday 18th and Friday 19th March, 2021 at our Regional Medical centres indicated on the attached list.

1. Mr. Stephen Lugonda, ACP, Prisons Headquarters is appointed Ag. Commissioner of Prisons, Human Resource Planning and Development.
2. Mr. Fred Kajubi Kayongo, ACP, Regional Prisons Commander Mid-Central is transferred to Prisons Headquarters in the Directorate of Human Resource Management for duty. He hands over the Region to Mr. Godfrey Obbo, SSP, DPC Mityana, who is now appointed Regional Prisons Commander, Mid-Central Region.
