APPOINTMENTS, TRANSFERS, AND LEAVE OF OFFICERS
1. Mr. John Bosco Tumwebaze, CP, Health Services at Prisons Headquarters is appointed Ag. Director/Administration. He takes over from Mr. Moses Bwijuka Katungye, ACGP, who has retired from the Service.
2. Mr. Raphael Olinga, CP, from leave is appointed CP/Health Services.
The Commissioner General of Uganda Prisons Service invites the following candidates who did oral interviews for the post of Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Prisons to report for Medical Examination at Luzira Staff Clinic on Wednesday 12th January 2022 and Thursday 13th January 2022 starting at 8:00am.

Welcome to the November Monthly edition of the Uganda Prisons Monthly Newsletter.
The Uganda Prisons Service in collaboration with the U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officially opened a dedicated center for prisoners with Multidrug- Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) at Murchison Bay Prison on Tuesday 7th December 2021 by the CDC country director Ms. Lisa Nelson. The CDC supported MDR-TB facility will serve as the sole referral and management center of MDR-TB patient – prisoners across the country.
