The Commissioner General of Prisons, Can Dr. Johnson Byabashaija on Friday 3rd March, 2023 travelled on a working tour to ascertain progress of the construction of 4,000 MT Grain Silo capacity with grain drying and processing system at UG. Prisons Farm-Lugore in Gulu District.

Welcome to the August Edition of the Uganda Prisons Service Monthly NewsLetter.
The following candidates who did interviews for joining the Uganda Prisons Services are hereby requested to go for medical examination at the afore mentioned prisons medical facilities as on the indicated dates of the respective Regional Prisons Centres.
Applicants to be medically examined must present copies of their National Identity Cards and their Uganda Certificate of Examination to the medical examining officers.
No applicant will be examined without a photocopy of his or her National Identity Card and Uganda Examination Certificate.
The Government of the Republic of Uganda through the Uganda Prisons Service has allocated funds to be used for the Financial Year 2022/2023 for the acquisition of motor vehicles
1) Lot 1-Double Cabin Pickups (RHD-4WD)
2) Lot 2 – Saloon Car (RHD-4WD)
3) Lot 3 – Station Wagon (RHD-4WD)
4) Lot 4 – Ambulance
5) Lot 5 – Cargo Truck
